New Security Awareness Platform: ZenGuide

We have replaced the KnowBe4 tool with a new Proofpoint Outlook add-in for reporting suspicious emails. The new ZenGuide button in your Outlook ribbon to report phishing attempts with a single click. You can also report concerns by attaching the suspicious email directly to: reportspamemail@ttuhsc.edu

 

ZOOM Scheduler - NOW AVAILABLE

Zoom Scheduler is integrated with TTUHSC exchange and makes it easier to share your availability and allows others to book time slots on your calendar directly to streamline the scheduling process. 56.01 Acceptable Use of Information Technology Resources

As per Acceptable Use policy 56.01 section 10, connections to TTUHSC institutional resources with privacy VPNs will no longer be available on April 23rd. Connections to TTUHSC email with a privacy VPN will no longer be possible.

Some example of privacy VPNs include NordVPN, ExpressVPN, and Surfshark. These are typically third-party paid services that encrypt internet traffic and mask the source of where traffic is originating. 

Connections from privacy VPNs create challenges for identifying true malicious traffic when institutional resources are accessed from these services. These services make it impossible to distinguish traffic between a legitimate faculty, staff, student, and a malicious actor. For this reason, institutional resources will no longer be accessible through privacy VPN services.
